The museum of African, Asian, Oceanic and American arts and civilisations, generally known as the “Musée du Quai Branly”, was delivered in June 2006 by Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France following four years of works. Designed by the architect Jean Nouvel, the museum consists of four buildings (museum, collection management, multimedia library and administration) and covers a total surface area of 55,000 m². The timber clad buildings are built on an exceptional site (overlooking the River Seine and next to the Eiffel Tower) in the centre of an 18,000 m² garden.
