ETDE and its British David Webster subsidiary, the third largest street lighting works and maintenance contractor in the United Kingdom, were awarded a record-breaking Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract for street lighting in London. The operation delegated street lighting services in the Borough of Lambeth in London (15,000 street lights). The contract included financing, modernising the network and adding 30% of new street lights, as well as the supply of power for a 25 year period on behalf of the client, the London Borough of Lambeth. As a result, ETDE now manages over 100,000 street lights in five London boroughs.
