ETDE, Bouygues Construction's electricity and maintenance subsidiary, has just won a contract to manage the street lighting for the city of Lille and nearby municipalities of Hellemmes and Lomme. The 8 Year contract, covers energy management, operation and maintenance, as well as the upkeep and modernisation of the street lighting system, which represents 22,000 light points. The lighting solution proposed by ETDE is particularly innovative, combining : technological factors, sustainable development measures, communication commitments (transparency for users). These innovations, coupled with the opening up of the electricity market, will allow Lille city council to save almost 40% in energy costs over eight years.
